SURVIVOR POOL

The survivor pool came to a anti-climatic end with 4 players splitting the final pot, $217.50 for each player. When you consider it was a $10 investment  the return is pretty good but trust me, it feels so much better when you are the sole survivor. That brings an end to the foolishness over there but I think we should adapt a rule that states NO MORE TIES, how about making the pro-bowl in play for picks or having the players who were eliminated throughout the season just vote for the winner when there is a tie like the real survivor? Ok, I know that is silly talk but ties still suck. Congrats on your winnings, now make sure you tip the dealer.

TOP 12

In the pool that has no ties the top 11 spots are set, there can still be some movement after the super bowl but if you are in the top 11 you are locked up a money spot.  The 12th spot is still wide open with 7 players still alive for the final money spot, "Tony and Bill 1" have the upper hand for the 12th spot, all they have to do is pick the winner and they lock up that spot, if they pick wrong then it will be chaos. And Chaos is what I am hoping for. Especially considering I am in the group of 7.

LAST PLACE

"Kris10" has clinched last place, congrats you are the biggest loser,  be proud, no one in the pool sucked any worse than you did this season.  Here is a free tip, next season when you decided on who you are going to pick for the week, take the exact opposite. Had you done that this season you would have clinched first place 3 weeks ago.... and a lot more money. But hey, nothing wrong with being a loser and getting paid for it.   Poor "RobT", he had that spot all season and fell 5 games out in the end but I think he wanted it that way, he didn't want the label as a loser.

MONDAY NIGHT TIE BREAKER

There is also the prize for the best MNF/Last Game of the week  tiebreaker average which is too hard to look up but it appears "Waterboy" with a 10.3 average is just ahead of "dflogue" 10.6 average but if you want to sort through the season standings and see if these are correct feel free.  The issue is the program stops calculating the average in the "Pool Room" after the regular season ends but it still calculates it on  the "Season Standing's" page.

MIDDLE MAN

Then there is the ridiculous "Middleman" prize where as the only skill/strategy you have to have is luck and chance, really - if you finish in 53rd place you win money. So what does "SignoreFantastico" the player currently in 53rd place have to do this weekend? Pick the winner? Loser? Go to church and pray? Who the hell knows, this is like playing "War" at a casino, you have no control. You just have to hope that arbitrarily things fall your way just like flying, you have to hope the plane lands ... on a runway.

THUMBS UP THUMBS DOWN
"Walker" jumped 11 spots and "Big Daddy"  8 spots .... "Lady Tramp" dropped 10 spots, "Joe e" 9 spots and "Wendy World" 8 spots

SUPER BOWL PREDICTION

I hate the Colts so I am bias going in, I'm rooting against them and hoping beyond hope they lose so I am not picking them to win.  With that said, here is my quarter by quarter prediction which means nothing, I just wanted to fill out this page.

  1 2 3 4 FINAL
SAINTS 10 10 10 14 44
COLTS 13 7 7 14 41
